Dr. Robert Barron earned his DMD degree at Tufts University in Boston. Following an internship in New York, he returned to Toronto and entered private general practice. Two years later, Dr. Barron initiated his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Hadassah Medical Centre in Jerusalem, Israel, interned in hospital and completed his final years of training at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Barron has maintained a practice in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Vaughan since 2004 with interests in general anesthesia, complicated extractions, immediate and planned implant placement, bone grafting, sinus lifts, pathology and trauma.

Dr. Barron is an active member of the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He is actively involved in the American Society of Dental Anesthesia and is both a Fellow and Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesia. Dr. Barron has authored several papers as well as presented several topics on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Canada, The United States and Israel.

Dr. Barron and his wife have three active boys. He is an avid skier in the winter and grill king in the summer.
